I have my doubts
US agrees climate deal with Asia
The agreement is supposed to be"a complement, not an alternative" to the Kyoto treaty, according to US Deputy Secretary of State Robert Zoellick (heaven knows Condi couldn't lend credence to this "climate change" myth by being involved). But since we haven't ratified Kyoto in the first place, I think it rather is an alternative, and a crappy one at that.
The pact will allow signed-up countries to set their goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions individually, with no enforcement mechanism.
Quick show of hands: Does anyone believe that vague pledges to self-regulate (especially those made by an administration with this environmental record) are anything other than a cosmetic ruse?
The Geneva-based Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF) said: "A deal on climate change that doesn't limit pollution is the same as a peace plan that allows guns to be fired."
Didn't think so.

No, I don't believe it for a minute. I'm just surprised the Bushies care enough to try to put on a good show.
